Second coordination meeting with UNESCO category 2 institutes and
centres (C2Cs) and UNITWIN/UNESCO Chairs related to the Culture Sector
23-24 November 2017, UNESCO Headquarters
The second coordination meeting of UNЕSCO category institutes and
centres (C2Cs) and UNITWIN/UNESCO Chairs related to the culture sector
was held at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris on 23-24 November 2017. There
was discussed the role of cultural heritage, its popularization and
creativity as a building component for sustainable development. This was
a great opportunity to exchange an experience and good practices for
maintaining an efficient work of UNЕSCO category institutes and centres
(C2Cs) and UNITWIN/UNESCO Chairs. The representatives of the cultural
sector from the HQ Culture sector presented experience and information
on a functioning mechanism, strategy and activities. This meeting was a
scene for presenting the online network of UNESCO Chairs and C2Cs aiming
to support the effective communication as well as a useful exchange of
information and partnership under the general framework for supporting
UNESCO priorities.
