On 19 November, on Moscovska Str. № 6 in the building of IEFEM-BAS will be held a roundtable on the topic: “The national cultures of the Balkans part of a whole”. Marking the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, the Regional Centre for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage in South -Eastern Europe under the auspices of UNESCO cooperates with Brain workshop Institute in the organization of the event.

The roundtable aims to provoke serious discussion and refer the subject of broad discussion, as well as to start “speaking” for the Balkans away from negative popular discourse about “Balkan culture” and “Balkan mentality” or otherwise to understand the Balkan cultural area and to detect the contribution of each country in the diversity of cultures, customs, music, cuisine, which, although marked by purely national circumstances, have common historical origin.Among the main participants in the event will be interested in the topic researchers and representatives from the academic circles.
