The First China – Central and Eastern European Countries Expert-Level Forum on Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage

From 11 to 14 October 2016 in Krakow, Poland, The First China – Central and Eastern European Countries Expert-Level Forum on Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage took place. This is the first joint meeting of experts from Asia and Europe with the aim of exchanging ideas and experience and of establishing fruitful cooperation in safeguarding the ICH. Representatives from 17 countries (Albania, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Bulgaria, China, Croatia, Czech, Estonia, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia) presented the achievements on the UNESCO programs in their countries and participated in panel sessions ICH and Sustainable Development. The Forum was accurately organized and initiated a fruitful cooperation between the experts in the field. The participants adopted the proposal to realize the next similar forum in China.
