The Regional Centre for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage in South-Eastern Europe under the auspices of UNESCO is one of the selected organization to participate in the Voices of culture – Structured Dialogue between the European Commission and the cultural sector. The Regional Center will take part in the stakeholder’s committee who will assist European Commission in implementing the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018 at Union level and in the structured dialogue “Skills, Training and Knowledge Transfer: traditional and emerging heritage”.
Voices of Culture ‒ Structured Dialogue between the European Commission and the cultural sector (http://www.goethe.de/ins/be/prj/voc/enindex.htm) provides a framework for discussions between EU civil society stakeholders and the European Commission with regard to culture. It aims to strengthen the advocacy capacity of the cultural sector in policy debates on culture at European level, while encouraging it to work in a more collaborative way.
At the meetings in Brussels, the Center will be represented by Nikolay Vukov and Miglena Ivanova.
The participation of the Regional Centre in the structured dialogues will encourage the discussion about the safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage at European level and will enhance the implementation of the Convention 2003.
