For a second consecutive year The Regional Center for Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage in South-Eastern Europe under the auspices of UNESCO supports the International Ethnographic Film Festival in Sofia.
The Regional Center supports the participation of professionals from the network of the Regional Center from Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia and Macedonia, the conducting of master classes and presentation of films from these countries.
This year the 6th edition of the International Ethnographic Film Festival will be held between the 14 and 18 November in the Conference Hall of the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski “and “Vlaikova” cinema.
This year, the festival offers 18 unique film titles from the field of the ethnographic cinema and a series of lectures that will bring viewers into intriguing themes like religion, contemporary shamanism, spirituality, ancient rituals, life after death.
The event will shocking and provoking, but will expand the mind of every visitor. Traditionally, the festival has a non-commercial focus, it aims to gain popularity and to have educational purpose in the society. The festival provides free access to valuable cultural samples, so all events in the program are conducted with free entry.
