Bulgarian Chitalishte (Community Cultural Centre) was selected in 2017 on the UNESCO Register of Good Safeguarding Practices

Two days after the entry of the martensite in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, the Intergovernmental Committee for the Protection of the Intangible Cultural Heritage adopted a decision in the Register of Good Practices to include the Chitalishte. Thus, this unique Bulgarian institution also receives its deserved international recognition. The dossier of the nomination is written by Dr. Silva Hacheryan.
