‘Safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage and community-based inventorying’

On June 24, the five-day training workshop at the national level, organized by the Regional Centre Sofia and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Albania, began in Tirana. The theme of the training was ‘Safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage and community-based inventorying’. Mr Sasa Sreckovic and Ms Meri Kumbe, part of the UNESCO facilitators network, were invited as facilitators of the workshop. They emphasised the important role of local communities and their involvement in the ICH inventorying process.
