On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of Bulgaria’s accession to UNESCO, the Regional Centre Sofia – UNESCO together with the National Commission of the Republic of Bulgaria for UNESCO and the State Institute of Culture under the Minister of Foreign Affairs present the exhibition “A Journey Through Living Traditions. The Intangible Cultural Heritage of South-Eastern Europe”.
The exhibition shows the intangible cultural heritage of Member States through a journey in their living heritage. Many of these traditions are customs and practices that result from the encounters of different cultures in the region during distant historical epochs. The exposition consists of 17 panels – one introductory, and the remaining 16 present the intangible cultural heritage of each Member State of the Regional Centre Sofia.
The opening will be on Friday, May 14, at 11.00 on the ground floor of the Central Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and will last until June 30, 2021.
