On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of Bulgaria’s accession to UNESCO, the Regional Centre Sofia – UNESCO together with the National Commission of the Republic of Bulgaria for UNESCO and Nessebar Municipality present the photo exhibition “A Journey Through Living Traditions. The Intangible Cultural Heritage of South-Eastern Europe”.
The exhibition shows the intangible cultural heritage of the countries of the region through a journey in their living heritage. Many of these traditions are customs and practices that result from the encounters of different cultures in the region during distant historical epochs. The exposition consists of 17 panels – one introductory, and the remaining 16 present the intangible cultural heritage of each Member State of the Regional Centre Sofia.
The opening will be on July 9 at 18.00 in the Old Town of Nessebar and the exhibition could be seen until July 23, 2021.
